Internet Marketing As A Business
A lot of people ask the question whether or not it is truly possible to build a full-time business using nothing but Internet marketing? Basically they want to know if this is a viable business model for them to pursue, or should they go after something else? That is a fair question. However, I would say if you are really asking it then you probably are not cut out for this business. In fact this statement pretty much goes for any business.
Are you familiar with the statement nothing ventured nothing gained? Well this is a case that it certainly applies to. You see we live in a time where people expect instant gratification. If something does not work out for them immediately they immediately start crying foul. Ignoring reality and the simple yet undeniable fact that any business regardless of what it is comes with some risk and requires you to put in work in order to draw an income.
The reason Internet marketing itself has such a strong word to it is that once a system is really set up and has been fine tuned is realistically possible to generate an income that is largely passive. However the passive part of this income does not come from the beginning. At the beginning you have to work your tail off to build the systems that will allow you to make the big bucks.
Do not be fooled by false promises. There is no easy but. There is no shortcut. And the money will not rain down on you from the sky. However, you can build yourself to the point where you do have a substantial passive. It is more than possible to build a e-mail list as an example, that you will be able to market to over and over again and fairly easily drive pretty big payday. Once again however this requires you to put the work in to build the infrastructure that will allow you to develop your business to that point.
This means that you have to spend a lot of time doing your niche research, experimenting with keywords, learning about the state of the Internet and technologies, and integrating a robust search engine optimization strategy into your overall marketing plan. On top of that you must begin working in the social media sphere. This means you should be doing things like creating Facebook fan pages, building a Twitter account and mining for followers, you should even be using Pinterest in order to drum up additional traffic.
The point is you can achieve what some people refer to as the "Internet lifestyle," however you will have to actually do work. This is actual business that you are attempting to build and like any business it does not just magically grow out of the ground. This is not like planting a seed and sprinkling some water on. this is not a magic bean.
This is reality and in reality he wants to build a successful business we have to work our tails off.
